Epilepsy

Seizures can be a life-threatening emergency as ventilation is affected however most seizures are not. The first aid strategy is to:

• Protect from the environment and keep them safe
• Allow the attack to run its course
• Do NOT put anything in their mouth
• The casualty is exhausted after the attack and should be allowed to recuperate.
